Check out what we've been up to

The June 2015 edition of the Canadian House & Home magazine featured a cottage on Lake Muskoka with all stone work completed by Steenhof Stoneworks. In the six page article, designer Cameron McNeil is quoted saying, “sometimes a fireplace is so striking, it doesn’t suit built-ins.” Steenhof Stoneworks finished two fireplaces and exterior stonework in this cottage using a weathered split face granite. A digital version of this aricle is not available, but House and Home released a video tour of the cottage.

Our work was highlighted in the GoodLife Barrie magazine again in the July/August 2015 issue.  Steenhof Stoneworks did the stone work on an Oro-Medonte cottage on Lake Simcoe that was featured in an article entitled “Rustic Opulence”. The exterior stone work and 2-story granite fireplace completed by Steenhof Stoneworks can be viewed here.

Steenhof Stoneworks’ work appeared in the May/June 2015 issue of Goodlife Barrie in an article featuring a Muskoka cottage for which we completed a fireplace and other interior stone work.  This cottage is located on a clifftop overlooking Lake Rosseau.  You can view photos of the cottage, including our stone work by clicking here.

Some of Steenhof Stoneworks' work was featured on the cover of the Summer 2010 issue of Our Homes magazine. This job was completed at an impressive 8,500 square foot house on Lake Simcoe.

This job was executed by one of the Steenhof Stoneworks' crews through many hours of meticulous labour. From start to finish, all of the stone work was completed over a seven month period starting in January 2009. Full size pieces of Corinthian grey granite were used on the exterior of the home, and small cut-offs from the outside work were used to complete the large double sided fireplace found on the main floor inside.

Click here to read the article on pages 48-58, and see the fireplaces and exterior stone work.

A solid granite bathroom floor by Steenhof Stoneworks made it onto the cover of the Fall 2016 issue of Our Homes Muskoka. At this same cottage on Lake Joseph, the guys also completed much more stone work, including several fireplaces, a wine cellar, the cottage's exterior, and more granite flooring in the kitchen. Check out their work on pages 28-36 of the digital issue of the magazine.
